Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
This is a week of celebration!
Tuesday, September 15 marks the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, and here at Warren Central, we proudly join our 842 Hispanic students and families in celebrating their culture, heritage, and the many contributions they have made and continue to make to our society.
We also stand in solidarity against the injustices and unfair treatment we are witnessing throughout our nation. At Warren Central High School, we strive to ensure that ALL of our students feel safe, welcomed, valued, and empowered to celebrate who they are. Every student deserves to know that they belong here.
This week, we encourage students to participate in our Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week activities. At the same time, we will continue celebrating our Warrior Pride, as it is also Homecoming Week and Spirit Week! There is certainly a lot to celebrate!
Our Homecoming activities will culminate with Homefest and the Homecoming Game on Friday, followed by the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 19.
Homecoming Dance tickets will be sold Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during lunch for $20, cash only. Students must have their student ID to purchase a ticket. Be sure to check this week's Sunday Newsletter for the Spirit Week themes and all of the exciting activities happening throughout the week.
Parents and families, please remember that the safety and security of our students and staff is always our top priority. We are asking for your partnership in having ongoing conversations with your student about the dangers and consequences associated with vaping, gummies, and other recreational drugs.
Students found in violation of school expectations are subject to consequences clearly outlined in our Student Success Handbook. Please help us keep our building safe by being aware of what your student is bringing to and from school. If you notice something that seems out of the norm or raises a concern, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to the school. When it comes to safety, we would always rather know than not know.
Finally, a friendly reminder that Warren Central has always had a dress code. Please review the communication that was recently sent regarding what is and is not appropriate for school. This information is also available in our Sunday Newsletter for reference.
Students who are not appropriately dressed or covered will be asked to change. Thank you, parents and families, for partnering with us to ensure that students arrive ready to learn and appropriately dressed for our school environment.
