What is Haitian Flag day and why does Haiti celebrate?
Haitian Flag Day is celebrated on May 18th and it is a special day in Haiti where people celebrate their flag and their country.
-Haiti was the first Black republic in the world
-People fought for their freedom
-The flag is a symbol of independence and pride

Next week, we are celebrating the soon-to-be SUMMER SEASON! So check out the themed days so your student(s) can join in on the fun.
Has your student(s) gotten the opportunity to show how much they care for their teachers or staff members?...If not, here are some ideas :-)
Have you downloaded the Book It app?! Students and families can use this app to track student's reading and earn a free personal pan pizza.

Remember, reading for 20-30 minutes every night can drastically support students' love of reading and their ability to pass IREAD, ILEARN, and keep them on track to graduate!
The last day to fill out the Family Survey and assist with BV obtaining our certification in Family Engagement is MONDAY, APRIL 27TH! This is a different survey than the Family/Caregiver Survey that went out at the beginning of April. Our goal is to have all of our families participate :-)

BV Working on Family Engagement Certification!
IN*SOURCE is proud of our work in supporting our Bulldog families and now we want to become a Family Engagement Certified School! Mr. Davis and I have started the process for certification and now we need YOU, our families. Please take a moment to complete the Family Engagement Survey, below.
