June 30 Update Graphic

June 30, 2021

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have a few important announcements for the week of June 30th.

As we prepare for the opening of the 21-22 school year, we are continuing to monitor guidance from the CDC, Indiana Department of Health, and the Marion County Public Health Department. It is our goal to share the details of our SAFE opening plan the week of July 12th. This will allow us to be in alignment with the most recent Marion County Public Health Department guidance expected to be released that same week.

Linked here to this email is our 21-22 School Year Calendar. Just a reminder that Warren students will return to IN-PERSON instruction 5 days a week for the upcoming school year. We are also offering a K-8 VIRTUAL learning experience and a 9-12 ONLINE learning experience for students who select this option. Families who are interested in these programs for the 2021-22 school year will need to submit an application. Applications are linked below and are available on our website. Applications will remain open until late July.

A couple of updates on new and returning students to Warren. If you are a returning family to Warren, your student will automatically be enrolled for IN-PERSON learning for the 21-22 school year.  If you are new to Warren or are returning to Warren after attending a school outside of the District, you will need to register your student for the 21-22 school year. For more information or to enroll your student, please visit our registration page on our website or you can visit your student’s school on or after July 14th.  Families can also access registration support at Moorhead Community Resource Center M-F from 8:00-3:00 until July 9th.

Summer meal distribution will continue for all kids 18 and under on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Brookview, Pleasant Run, Renaissance, Creston, Raymond Park, Warren Central High School, and Moorhead Community Resource Center until July 22nd.

Please note that all Warren buildings and offices will be closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

I hope you have a great rest of your week and a nice 4th of July weekend. Thank you for your continued investment in Warren students and schools.

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
