     “The Duke” is a fascinating story about one of the most well-known robberies in London’s history. The Duke takes place in 1965, after the imposition of BBC’s TV license fee on pensioners in London. “The Duke” is based on a true story of a man named Kempton Bunton. 

     The director for this movie is Roger Michel, he has directed movies like “Notting Hill,” “Venus,” “Changing Lanes,” “Enduring Love” and “Morning Glory.” The genre’s that he has worked include romance, comedy, drama, mystery, and thriller.

     There are many well known actors in this movie and one of them is Matthew Goode. He has acted in movies like “Kingsmen,”“Silent Night,” “Watchmen,” “The Intimidation Game,” and “Leap Year.” The second well known actress is Helen Mirren, she is a famous actor from acting in movies like “The Queen,” “The Good Liar,” “Eye in the Sky,” “The Debt,” and “The Fate of the Furious.” The last actor has been in at least 30 different movies that include “Paddington,” “A Boy Called Christmas,” “Get Santa,” and “Arthur Christmas.”  

     The story is set in 1965, where Kempton Burton, a 60-year-old taxi driver, stole a Goya’s portrait of Duke of Wellington from a national gallery in London. It was the only robbery of the gallery in its history. He sent ransom notes that said he would only give the painting back on one condition, the government has to agree to provide TV for free to the elderly. After 50 years, the full story emerged about how he was trying to change the world but in the process of doing so, he saved his son and marriage.

     This movie releases on Mar. 25 in theaters. Fans that enjoy this movie like biographies, comedy, drama, and live-action movies.
